Washington Avenue Art Crawl!
Introducing our very own art hop, except its actually a crawl. The route will be between Washington Square and Jerico along- you guessed it- Washington Ave. We will mark the route and have fun things for folks to do along the way.
Edison has so much magnificent talent and we can't wait to showcase it right here in the neighborhood. If you are an artist and are interested in showcasing your work, please reach out to program director:
WAAC will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month with the first inaugural crawl in April. Stay tuned for details!
New CPO, Samantha Schmeltz
A huge welcome to our new Community Policing Officer, Samantha Schmeltz! She has been working in the Edison neighborhood for several years and is looking forward to serving in a new role.
As a Community Police Officer (CPO’s), Schmeltz will maintain a line of communication with neighborhood director and association to stay apprised of problems and priorities of the neighborhoods, so they can be addressed in a timely manner.
We would love for you all to come to our next Community, Police, and Convo event (held on the last Wednesday of the month at 5pm) and meet Officer Schmeltz in person.
If we wish to rebuild our cities, we must first rebuild our neighborhoods. And to do that, we must understand that the quality of life is more important than the standard of living.
