Brown Boy Brown Girl Reads

BBBGReads Purple Green copy_edited.webp

Located in our building is Brown Boy Brown Girl Reads, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charity dedicated to empowering the minds of young BIPOC children in the greater community. They are committed to providing enriching learning experiences that promote reading, writing, financial literacy and youth entrepreneurship. Their programming is designed to be fun and engaging while encouraging the development of essential skills and knowledge. They strive to foster an environment of inclusivity and acceptance, so that every child can feel safe and empowered to reach their full potential. Their mission is to connect children and their families to books with BIPOC characters at an early age to promote literacy and a love for reading.

If we wish to rebuild our cities, we must first rebuild our neighborhoods. And to do that, we must understand that the quality of life is more important than the standard of living.
